Tip 1: PAY ATTENTION

This is a great life tip and interview tip too. Basically, read the entry brief properly and follow the guidelines, this shows that you are serious and dedicated and respect the competition host. And listen to direction on the day of the competition.

For example, if you are asked to bring certain items then bring them. If you are asked to keep your self-introduction ‘short/brief’ – then avoid chatting on.

TIP 2: DO IT FOR THE RIGHT REASONS

Don’t enter the competition unless you are serious about potentially winning and are dedicated to the role ahead of you. But don’t enter just to win either!

Life is about experiences…

GO FOR IT and enjoy it!

Take it seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously – otherwise the special thing about YOU will not be able to shine through all that seriousness.

Tip 3: BE CONFIDENT

Here’s the model mentor reminder… there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance… So, be mindful that you are projecting yourself in a way that is received as confidence.

If you are wearing a mask to protect your self-consciousness or nervousness – this mask can be seen as ‘arrogance’…

Also there is absolutely nothing wrong in being confident in your own ability, in your style, in your personality, and in your special talents…

It is these aspects of YOU that shine through to make your natural beauty look even more attractive.
